ONE BODY • MANY PARTS • DIFFERENT ABILITIES

If you have family, friends or neighbors with special needs, we want you to know that New Hope Church is a loving and welcoming place for ALL people to come and be a part of the body of Christ. As a Christ-centered disability ministry we believe that every person is created in the image of a sovereign and loving God and every follower of Jesus has been uniquely gifted with talents and abilities to help build up the body of Christ and make a difference in this world.

We do not follow the pattern of this world that labels people by what they can or can’t do, instead we cling to the truth of Philippians 4:13 where the Apostle Paul writes“I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me.” In other words, whatever God has called his people to do, he will strengthen and empower us to do it. At New Hope Disability Ministry, we do not focus on people’s DISability instead we rely upon HISability to do great things through ALL of us! If you have questions or comments about New Hope Disability Ministry, contact Pastor Mitch Bankes at 763-971-5117.

We are one body. "The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body – whether Jews of Greeks, slave or free – and we were all given the one Spirit to drink" (1 Corinthians 12:12) NIV'84.

We are made up of many parts. "Now the body is not made up of one part but of many. But in fact God has arranged the parts in the body, every one of them, just as He wanted them to be. If they were all one part, where would the body be? As it is, there are many parts, but one body" (1 Corinthians 12:14, 18-20) NIV'84.

We are gifted with different abilities. "There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men. Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good" (1 Corinthians 12:4-7) NIV'84.
