Jesus was an amazing story teller. He was able to use simple stories to illustrate deep and profound truths that could change people's lives. God understands the effect of a good story being used by the power of the Holy Spirit. He knows that stories can speak to us in unique ways that mere facts often cannot.

That's why it's important for us to know how to effectively share the wonderful things God is doing in our own lives. Have you experienced the transforming power of his Spirit in your life lately? Have you seen him clearly answer prayer in the past few weeks? Has he changed your perspective, your family or your direction in ways that only he is able to do? Maybe you've seen him use New Hope Church in our local community. Take time to let others know and give God glory!

Story Tips
Sharing your stories about how God is at work helps us focus on who deserves the credit, it thwarts the power of the enemy, it empowers others to see God in fresh ways, it gives hope to those who are questioning their faith and it encourages others to share their stories as well. As you share your story, keep these tips in mind to make your story communicate effectively:

• Keep it brief and to the point. This is true for any good communicator.
• Keep to the facts. God has no need for us to embellish his work!
• Keep the focus on glorifiying God. Let's make this all about him!

Your Story
Do you have a story to share? Give God the glory and share a brief description of it with those around. Share it with friends, family, neighbors, co-workers and your Sunday School class. It's a great way to praise God and encourage others in their faith.
