“Prayer
is not a convenient device or imposing our will upon God, or for bending
His will to ours, but the prescribed way of subordinating our will to His.
It is by prayer that we seek God’s will, embrace it and align ourselves
with it. Every true prayer is a variation on the theme, ‘Your will
be done.’ Our Master taught us to say this in the pattern prayer He
gave us and added the supreme example of it in Gethsemane” –John
Stott, “Letters of John.”
Prayer Watch
This weekly guide serves as a common prayer focus for the entire NHC family. Watch for periodic all-church "Evening Prayer Watch" gatherings. The initial gathering, focused on praying for the elections, is on Sunday, October 24. Learn more about this week's Prayer Watch>>

Prayer Transformation
Ministries
Prayer Transformation Ministries serves the church and the prayer movement
with the conviction that the unleashing of prayer will result in the spiritual
revival and transformation of individuals, churches and cities. They are one
of the many local ministries we support.
Transforming
Prayer Ministry
763-971-5123
Transforming Prayer is an approach that exposes deception about ourselves,
others and even God in our thinking. Deceptions are beliefs that don’t
reflect what the Bible teaches. For instance, “I am unloved” or “I
am all alone” are deceptions. The Bible clearly teaches to the contrary.
We can go to the Lord in focused prayer in which we ask Him for courage to
go to these broken areas of our soul where the beliefs were embraced. In
these places, we can experience Him revealing His truth through the transforming
work of the Holy Spirit.
Freedom
Ministry
763-971-5123
The “Steps to Freedom” cover seven areas of bondage in a general “housecleaning-like” fashion.
This one-time prayer session helps individuals strategically work through areas
in life such as forgiveness, bitterness, rebellion and pride that often hinder
the
ability
to enjoy God’s
abundant life.
EPIC KIDS Prayer Team

PowerHouse Prayer
The PowerHouse ministry is a great opportunity for New Hope Church
to reach out to our students as well as the community. To get involved by receiving
prayer requests from this ministry, contact Lisa Bodkin.
Community Prayer
New Hope Church doesn't exist in a vacuum - we are part of the larger community of New Hope and the surrounding cities. Our desire is for Christ to reign over the neighborhoods, families governments and businesses represented here. We pray for his favor, protection, guidance and sovereignty over this community and we ask that we be a light and refuge for those living here. Join in praying consistently for God to move in and through us and the cities around us. There are numerous ways for you to reach out to our community. Learn more>>
"So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God,
and in His good time He will honor you. Give all your worries and cares to
God, for He cares about what happens to you." –1 Peter 5:6-7
"Prayer without faith quickly degenerates into
an aimless routine or heartless hypocrisy. However, prayer with faith brings
the omnipotence of God to the support of our petitions...When genuine prayer
is even whispered, earth and heaven and the past and future, say, ‘Amen!’ This
is the kind of prayer Christ prayed. -P.C.M. Nothing lies beyond the reach
of prayer except those things outside the will of God."
