What is Transforming Prayer?
Many
of us experience ongoing emotional reactions that negatively affect our lives. Transforming Prayer is a prayer approach that uncovers
the source and origin of these negative emotions. It incorporates intentional
and focused prayer
that asks the Lord for courage to look into the broken areas of our souls;
places we’ve experienced and embraced deceptions in our lives.
In these places, we see him transform souls with his truth.
You don’t need to live with feelings of confusion, hopelessness, emotional
pain, fear, anxiety, invalidation, powerlessness, anger, shame or guilt.
When negative emotions are strong and consistently present, you are less
able to confidently serve the Lord. As we seek to become more like Christ
and let him free us, our minds are increasingly filled with truth about ourselves.
The Transforming Prayer approach is one of many ways the Lord uses to lead
his people into this kind of freedom.
