The Foundations Adult Sunday Community is a place to connect with other young families and married couples. Most of us are in our 20's and 30's and currently experiencing the early stages of family life. We meet on Sunday mornings at 11:00 a.m. in Family Center A2/A3 at the Main Campus (lower level, across from the gym). We also meet at other times for a variety of social and outreach events. We invite you to join us for a Sunday morning class to learn more about who we are and about upcoming activities. In Foundations, you and your family will find a place to connect and grow as you follow Christ and build relationships.
We actively use a Yahoo! Group to coordinate Foundations class communications. It's private (by invitation only) because we share prayer requests, our class directory, and other class discussions there. Foundations offers a variety of teaching and interaction. You'll learn from various teachers, other class members, video series and missionary updates. Prayer We are dedicated to holding one another up in prayer. On Sundays, we share requests and pray for these requests in a small group setting. We also use e-mail communication to share additional or urgent requests within the group. Care-Giving We believe it is important to support and encourage one another through many different tangible activities. These might include providing meals or childcare, shoveling snow, or running errands. Service The group is dedicated to serving the church and the community. This might include raking leaves for older members of the church or volunteering as a group at a local food shelf. Missions We help support and encourage several global missionaries with prayer and periodic communication. We know the importance of building relationships, and we like to enjoy fun times! Social times are scheduled once a month and alternate between entire-family activities and couples-only events.
