Devotional: Consistency is Overrated... "Praise be to the Lord, the God of my master Abraham, who has not abandoned his kindness and faithfulness to my master. As for me, the Lord has led me on the journey to the house of my master's realtives." (Genesis 24:27) "When you are looking for directions to drive from one place to another you might check several sources -- maps, the Internet, or a friend who's been there. If you make the trip often enough, you'll no longer have to ask for directions. This doesn't work with God's road trip. God will send you in roundabout ways that you didn't know existed. But even though you might be unfamiliar with the path, you don't need to worry because God is making the journey with you. The danger is thinking the lost feeling you may have isn't God's plan for you. If you're wandering out there, look for God. You're out there to learn something. Learn it and move on. There's no single way to get where you're going. God is in the highways and in the back roads, and you'll spend your share of time on both." Oz Says: "We can all see God in exceptional things, but it requires the culture of spiritual discipline to see God in every detail. Never allow that the haphazard is anything less than God's appointed order, and be ready to discover the Divine designs anywhere." Just Between You and God: Lost? You can't be. You're where God wants you. All the time. Just ask directions! -Taken from the November 14 devotion Everything Counts by Steve Case.
