How can I get my student involved in ministry at New Hope Church?
- Join your son/daughter for a youth service. You are more than welcome to attend any student ministries service or activity. Stay personally connected with what your son/daughter is experiencing at New Hope Church.
- Schedule a visit with one of the Student Ministries pastors.

- Don't give up on EDGE or ZONE after one or two times of coming!
- Encourage your student to attend activities and events separate from normal programming. This provides a different environment where students will interact a lot more and experience things together. In addition, it provides more face time for all students to really connect together.
- Invite the youth pastor to your home! Don't assume they are too busy. A personal visit to your home is worth more than a month of Sundays.
How can I stay informed with what is going on with me son/daughter?
- EDGE announcement sheets are given out at most EDGE services and events. Ask your son/daughter for those. Announcements are also posted on line for all Student Ministry areas.
- Be proactive in developing communication with your student's leaders. Get to know the leaders and exchange email addresses.
- Look for seasonal newsletters from Student Ministries and keep these in an accessible location.
- Get signed up on our email list! We'll send out annoucements and important reminders.
- Prioritize church involvement for your family. If church is merely an option when nothing better is available, this communicates that church is not important. Connecting, in this case, will be a challenge. Keep church a high priority for your family and visit your student's youth service.
