We want to create opportunities to connect with other women for fun and friendships. It is our desire that these opportunities for organized activities help develop into times of connection where women know more than the face or the name of the other women in the group. Connection through activities brings shared life experience and history from which to build. We want to connect for wholistic, God-honoring living. God is to be worshipped through, not separated from, our hobbies, creative interests, exercise plans and free time. Everything we do, whether we are eating or drinking or walking or crafting or shopping should be done for the glory of God. Let’s connect and learn together what that looks like. “Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father” (Colossians 3:17). Women's Camping RetreatFriday-Sunday, August 1-3 Join us for the first ever Women's Camping Retreat! As we seek to become closer followers of Jesus, responding to His call to, "Follow me," we are going outdoors to leave distractions, build relationships and pursue Jesus at the beautiful William O'Brien State Park which is about one hour from Cities. Some highlights include meeting new women and strengthening friendships, campfire devotions, free time activities like hiking, swimming, and playing games, an intercultural cooking lesson around the campfire, the "Surrender Trail," rest and much more! We will be tent-camping, but there are showers and bathrooms with running water at the State Park. We will supply camping equipment for those who need it; please indicate that when you register. Plan: Meet at 5:45 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 1 at the lower level of the Main Campus to load up and leave by 6 p.m. Eat dinner before you come. We will return on Sunday afternoon between 12 and 1 p.m. For the Saturday only crew: Meet at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 2 at the lower level of the Main Campus to load up and leave by 7:40 a.m. You can expect to come back to the church after dinner and devos by 9:30-10:00 p.m. Contact Andrea Tyson by email or at 763-536-3273 with any questions you may have.
