You can make a contribution to New Hope Church through our e-giving service
by having funds taken directly from your bank account using ACH or by using
a debit card.
Answers to Common Questions About E-giving
- What is e-giving?
E-giving is an online giving service available for the New Hope
Church family through the NHC website. This service provides a convenient
way to make an electronic transfer from your checking or savings account
to the church’s
bank account on the date(s) that you select.
- Is e-giving risky?
E-giving is very safe. Your contribution will be processed on
a secure site. This process has an extremely high rate of accuracy.
- What are the advantages of e-giving?
You can give any time during the week from your home computer or from
any place you have access to the Internet. You don’t have to write
out checks. You can prioritize your giving within your budget. You can
automate your giving on a recurring basis so you never have to worry
about forgetting a contribution. Once the transaction has taken place,
the funds are made available immediately to the church and deducted from
your bank account.
- What is the preferred option for e-giving?
You can give using either ACH (Automatic Clearinghouse) or by
using a debit card (credit card giving is not available). ACH is a direct
transfer from your bank account to the church’s bank account. Similarly,
a debit card withdraws directly from your bank account, but there are additional
fees associated with its use. Thus, ACH is the preferred option. It takes
a bit more work to set up because you need to know your bank account routing
information, but it is more cost effective.
- Without a canceled check, how can I prove I made my contribution?
You will receive an email confirmation stating that your transaction
has been submitted. A few days later, a second email confirms that your contribution
has gone through. The transaction will also appear on your month-end bank
statement. In addition, New Hope Church will provide a year-end
statement itemizing your total contributions (including all e-giving contributions).
- What if I change bank accounts?
You simply go online, log into your e-giving account and change
your bank information.
